At the End of Ryde Pier.mp3

We advise you - do not copy what these foolish youths are doing.
Jumping off the end of the pier is poor choice to make: if you get caught in the steamer's paddle wheel, your body could cause it to jam and the ferry will veer of course and crash into the pier causing death to hundreds of passengers.
Wightlink will be forced to make even more health and safety restrictions than at present. For the sake of all wise, responsible pier jumpers, please restrict your jumping to the sides and rear of the pierhead or that central pool bit where the pavilion used to stand. AND remember to buy a Jumping Permit Ticket. The Jumping Warden is a brute of a man, who thinks nothing of brutalising any jumper he catches jumping without a ticket.

Remember the Wightlink slogan:

THINK BEFORE YOU LEAP INTO THE DEEP.
