Email : I am paranoid | ||
Message: | Had a great time as one of the nameless drummers in the band; shame I had to share it with a clique of backstabbing tossers. Still, at least I got to do something worthwhile with my life afterwards instead of staring at a computer screen, pulling myself off and congratulating myself over my own pathetic (non)achievements. See you when you grow up. |   |
Now I may be way out of line here but I'm detecting a slight undercurrent of bitterness. However I'm glad you found something worthwhile to do with your life, was it learning to play the drums by any chance? |   | |

Message: | Here is the last (I hope!) instalment of The Biography of The Bebop Dustbins taking their putrid story from Mr. M____'s exit to their happy, welcome end. I sincerely hope this covers everything and in future, may God save us from such examples of laziness and ramshackleness. |   |
I'm lost for words. |   | |

Message: | Dear cheesy, What was the band called that Owen was in after the Waltons? I know they had lots of Pretty boys in the line up? Love Ally |   |
After the Waltons? You probably mean Quiet Life who, once it had been pointed out to them that they had named their band after a herbal sedative, changed their name to The Obligatory Freedom Foundation (a name pregnant with possibilities especially the acronym OFF). I still see their bassist Dave on a regular basis but don't know what happened to the rest of them. There drummer Jo(h)nny sat in with us at Zanies when Damon didn't turn up once and did a good job considering. |   | |

Message: | We need to be able to get Walton's back catalogue, Where and How. Also I did see the Waltons in their last line-up. More Pictures of Owen, please. If not I'll send you some. Love Ally P.S Where is Owen Now? Is he A Catholic born again Christian or a short carpenter? |   |
I heard Owen was all that and much more. After all he did leave the Waltons to become a kitchen porter (a wise move as it turned out). See comments on mp3s below. |   | |

Message: | I found this site by searching for: Waltons "Dead Above The Neck", but didn't find one mention of the album in question, though the time frame seems to be about right. There seems to be a Canadian band called The Waltons who appeared about the time these guys broke up, but I am considering this pure coinkydink. Whatever the case may be, "Dead Above The Neck" has become one of my top ten albums of all time, and I just wanna say thanx. Rusty Grant, Sandiego, California, USA |   |
You are in the right place. The reason there is no mention of Dead above the Neck is that I've been a bit busy and havn't got around to it yet (it's taken me 3 months to put your message up on the web site after all). Glad you like the album there will be an oppertunity to download mp3s of "previously unreleased material soon(ish)." I'm kind of curius to know how a copy of DATN got to the states though..... |   | |

Loris Valvona - 02/02/03 | ||
Email : I am paranoid | ||
Message: | Well I seem to have two mentions on your excellent site. As a Valvona and a long , and I mean long, serving member of the Mechanix ! Obviously the famous ice-cream wars were very traumatic for us younger members of The Family. I recall my school teacher Sister Paula, God Bless, allowing my bodyguard to sit at the back of the class. He was a rather large chap obviously,but we all knew him as uncle Midge. I can see him know with his suit and gold pocketwatch, carefully cleaning his nails with his stilletto knife... Although he spoke hardly any english he actually passed his 11 plus. As anyone who attended St Marys knows,those nuns were such patient and kind teachers. I mean they only really hit you if you deserved it! I must go now its time for my medicine, will add some more later, Loris Valvona |   |
Fantastic to have first hand accounts of this important and often neglected period of our history. |   | |

Message: | Hey, Was Miff Mole's real name 'Jim?' If so he's living on a Island beach somewhere off the coast of Australia. He called me a couple of years back to let me know he was ok. Cheers Pete |   |
No idea. I don't think his name was Miff though. Nice to hear he's still alive. |   | |
