D 3.75 2:43 This was the first ever outing for CLPC. The question is, "Who were the vocalist and guitarist at this gig?" Apparently they were so nervous that they were unable to take to the stage without a little support.
The line-up for this gig was:
  • Jane Rostron - Vocals
  • Sarah Barker - Vocals
  • Laura Hawkins - Vocals
  • Anne Other (Possibly Claire) - Vocals

C 2.57 2:48 This recording was made in Steve's flat with a single microphone dangling from a light fitting. It includes what I believe is the last missing Cats song ("Jacquies Song") never before heard on the interporn
The line-up for this recording was:
  • Jane Rostron - Vocals
  • Sarah Barker - Vocals
  • Joolie Hills - Vocals
  • Jacquie Payne - Vocals/Guitar
  • Penny Rushton - Vocals/Cello

D 3.51 2:33 These songs were recorded at Pete Burnham's (Birnham?) studio in 1986 (I think). They have been heavily processed (digitally re-mastered). They were taken from a very quiet and noisy cassette tape that was possessed of several random drop-ins of really loud dance music or people saying, "Is this the play button?" Some of this I was able to cover up using adjacent material but some sections were beyond repair and had to be cut out so the songs may not go quite as you remember them. I didn't spend too much time on this because I am hoping that somebody will come forward with a better copy of the tape that I can use or, if fate is kind, Pete Burnham will come forward with the masters (at which time he can tell me how to spell his name) - or (and this is more of an "and/or") somebody will come forward with a copy of "The Steve Kellet Tape" which was, if memory serves (which it increasingly doesn't {don't even get me started on my tendency to ramble [or my constant use nested brackets in a futile attempt to keep track of my thoughts]}) the best recording that CLPC ever did.
The line-up for this recording was the same as below:
  • Jane Rostron - Vocals
  • Jacquie Payne - Vocals
  • Sarah Barker - Vocals
  • Joolie Hills (Now Mrs Jones) - Vocals
  • Penny Rushton - Vocals

C 2.71 2:57 Two previously forgotten about CLPC songs (by me anyway). I don't know when or where they were recorded but it sounds like an early attempts. I don't even know what they were called so if one of the band could let me know I would be grateful.
I suspect that line-up for this recording was:
  • Jane Rostron - Vocals
  • Jacquie Payne - Vocals/Guitar

D 1.86 1:21 These songs were recorded on my 4 track cassette deck though judging from the sound they might as well have been recorded on a Rob's Ghetto Blaster. Still there was never anyone quite like them and the only thing that stops me recommending all of them is the fact that I've run out of apostrophes (that and the DODGY sound).
The line-up for the gig was:
  • Jane Rostron - Vocals
  • Jacquie Payne - Vocals
  • Sarah Barker - Vocals
  • Joolie Hills (Now Mrs Jones) - Vocals
  • Penny Rushton - Vocals
  • Actually Jacquie also played guitar but that ruins the "Vocals" joke.
