| Originally, before the band expanded hugely, Revenge of the Lawn had a third member called Divorcer, but he was eaten in February last year when, despite warnings from his mother, and thinking he was being very big, he went too near the Metal Pod on the north side of Wroxall Down. Although two colleagues did all they could to push the struggling pop star into its jaws, it still took the metal monster a good five minutes to completely swallow the hapless fool. [Revenge of the Lawn are bitter like that] The above picture was taken shortly after the two remaining Revenge-of-the-Lawners had finished stuffing his upper torso into the creature and stepped back to take a photo, which was shown on Meridian News for their news coverage of the event. The Metal Pod is a viscious creature with a semi-circular metal head, that inhabits the nether regions of lawns and pastures on Wroxall Down. It can strike at any moment and emerges through the lawn itself, to catch its prey in its metal jaw.
When in the Wroxall Down area, stay strictly on the footpaths and, under no circumstances, should you be tempted to stray off onto lawns or pastureland. Authorities issuing a Section 23.56A (Wroxall Down) Health and Safety Warning:
